WOLLONGONG, Australia — Taylor Spivey (Redondo Beach, Calif.) once again proved her place among the world’s elite this season, finishing fourth overall in the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) following a strong seventh-place performance at the World Triathlon Championship Finals Wollongong on Sunday, Oct. 19.

The result marks the fifth time in her career that Spivey has finished fourth in the WTCS standings — a testament to her remarkable consistency and longevity at the highest level of the sport.

Since making her World Triathlon debut nearly a decade ago, Spivey has become one of the most reliable and respected competitors on the international circuit. She has finished inside the world’s top 10 nearly every season since 2018, highlighted by a career-best third overall in 2021 and a string of near-podium Series finishes in 2019, 2022, 2023, and now 2025.

At the 2025 Championship Finals in Wollongong, Spivey delivered another trademark performance — strong across all three disciplines, finishing in 1 hour, 57 minutes, 47 seconds on the 1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike and 10-kilometer run course. Germany’s Lisa Bertsch took the overall win (1:56:50), followed by Italy’s Bianca Seregni and France’s Emma Lombardi.

Spivey’s 2025 season included consistent top-10 finishes across the WTCS circuit — highlighted by her silver medal at WTCS Karlovy Vary — anchoring her fourth-place finish in the overall standings.

Her trademark steadiness — racing smart, strong and fearlessly against the best in the world — continues to define her as a model of elite endurance and professionalism.
