LA28 will shape the next era of triathlon in the United States.
We are entering a defining moment in our sport.
In two years, the Olympic Games return to the U.S. for the first time in more than 30 years.
And triathlon takes center stage, as the first event and medal ceremony of the Olympic Games. This defining moment offers a once-in-a-generation opportunity for USA Triathlon and the USA Triathlon Foundation to elevate triathlon in the United States.
This is Elevate28.
Elevate28 is more than a fundraising campaign — it is a movement to prepare our athletes to compete and win on home soil, inspire the next generation, and ensure triathlon becomes one of the most accessible, inclusive, and thriving sports in the United States.
This is our most ambitious campaign yet, ensuring every U.S. National Team athlete has the resources needed to succeed in 2028 and beyond. Because USA Triathlon receives no direct government funding, our athletes rely on philanthropy to access world-class coaching, training environments, sports science, and international competition.
Yes, we’re chasing medals. But we’re also chasing something bigger: a future where kids watching in 2028 see themselves in these athletes, feel inspired to move, to belong, and to believe that they, too, can one day stand on that start line.
Elevate28 is more than a fundraising effort; it is a movement to elevate the entire triathlon community."
Fueling Olympic and Paralympic Dreams
Your support fuels the resources USA Triathlon needs to recruit, develop and win at the highest level—funding world-class coaching and training, college scholarship support, international competition, equipment and technology, and advanced sport science. These investments strengthen talent identification, training camps and daily training environments, building a pipeline that prepares athletes to excel on the world’s biggest stages.
Expanding Youth Participation
Donations grow youth triathlon nationwide through programs like USA Kids Tri, the Youth State Series, and Splash & Dash races. These investments expand access by covering youth memberships and supporting partnerships with national and local organizations that bring triathlon into communities and schools. By lowering barriers to entry, we create welcoming pathways that promote healthy lifestyles, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of sport.
Advancing Belonging and Access Opportunities
Your generosity expands access to triathlon by breaking down financial, physical and cultural barriers that prevent athletes from getting started or staying involved. These grants offer wide-ranging support, from providing beginner triathletes with race entries and essential equipment to investing in adaptive athletes and community-based programs. Initiatives like the Gwen Jorgensen–inspired youth grants help ensure underserved youth can experience the power of sport, community and belonging.
Responding Rapidly to Emerging Needs
Philanthropy empowers USA Triathlon to act with agility as new needs and opportunities emerge—whether expanding pathways for development athletes beyond the NCAA system, enhancing daily training environments through investment in essential support staff and assistant coaches, or scaling high-impact programs that drive meaningful progress across the sport.
The USA Triathlon Foundation eases financial pressures, empowering athletes like me to train, compete, and pursue Olympic and Paralympic dreams without limits.
As a valued donor, you will enjoy engaged stewardship, opportunities to participate in exclusive USA Triathlon Foundation events, and priority access to purchase LA28 hospitality as opportunities become available.
