The Talent ID Program supports and funds the development and progression of athletes who qualify for selection with either of the following time standards: World leading time standard in one discipline and an Olympic Development Potential (ODP) time in another discipline; 2x International time standards in any two disciplines; Or 1x international and 1x national standard if you are younger than 20 years old.

World Leading: Swim and run times are an average of what the top athletes at the World Triathlon Championship Series level are capable of doing in those individual events

Internationally Ranked: Swim and run times are an average of what the top athletes at the World Cup level are capable of doing in those individual events

Nationally Competitive: Swim and run times are an average of what the top athletes at the Americas Cup level are capable of doing in those individual events

Development Potential: Times are used in conjunction with the World Leading standards to identify talent transfer athletes. If an athlete has a World Leading time in an event in one discipline, and a Development Potential time in an event in a different discipline, they would be considered for recruitment

Development potential is similar to what you can expect at a National Triathlon Development Race (NTDR).
