Our next Team USA athlete, hailing from North Andover, Massachusetts, is Kirsten Kasper!
Name: Kirsten Kasper
Age: 31 (Aug. 31, 1991)
Hometown: North Andover, Mass.
Current Residence: Boulder, Colo.
College: Georgetown University '13 (Marketing and Management); '14 (Masters in Sports Management)
Kirsten Kasper was a Massachusetts high school state champion in multiple sports including swimming (4 state titles), cross country (3) and track & field (2). She went on to compete in cross country for Georgetown University where she was a scoring member of the 2011 D1 NCAA Cross Country National Championships team. While at Georgetown, she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and management, then she earned her master’s degree in sports industry management. Kasper was introduced to triathlon in 2014 through USA Triathlon’s Collegiate Recruitment Program. That same year, she was named USA Triathlon Rookie of the Year. She is married to Canadian Olympic triathlete Matthew Sharpe and they have a four year old yellow lab named Reggie. She enjoys spending time with family and hiking.

Up in the mountains near Boulder, Colorado.
What is your earliest or favorite memory of watching the Olympics/Paralympics?
Watching the Opening Ceremonies as a kid!
What is your favorite thing about triathlon?
Pushing myself to my physical and mental limits
If you were not an athlete, what would you like to be doing?
Working in the triathlon and/or running world for a sports brand in the marketing department. I would love to work with athletes.
