COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon today released its 2025 Impact Report, highlighting the organization’s work and measurable outcomes that are strengthening the multisport ecosystem nationwide. This is the second consecutive year USA Triathlon has published its Impact Report, reflecting the non-profit's dedication to transparency and data-driven decision-making. These principles are central to USA Triathlon’s strategic plan, Elevate 2028: Focus Forward, the organization’s roadmap to the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In 2025, USA Triathlon saw notable membership growth among younger athletes, supported a successful international season for U.S. elite and paratriathletes, and continued to expand access, inclusion, and youth participation across the country.

  • Growth in sanctioned events and race directors
  • A shifting and younger membership base, as athletes ages 20–39 are now the largest membership demographic
  • 110 international medals won by U.S. elite and paratriathletes, including 36 gold medals
USA Triathlon increased total events, race directors, and sanctioned events in 2025. Growth in shorter-distance racing and alternative race formats, including aquathlon, duathlon, and other multisport race types, helped stabilize participation and move the sport closer to pre-pandemic levels.Key highlights
