Call for Nominations: 2025 USA Triathlon Board of Directors & Athlete Advisory Council Elections

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon is proud to announce the opening of nominations for key leadership positions on its Board of Directors and Athlete Advisory Council (AAC). These roles present an exciting opportunity for passionate athlete leaders to help shape the future of triathlon in the United States.

Empowering Leadership in Multisport

At the heart of USA Triathlon’s mission lies a commitment to advancing the sport of triathlon while supporting the holistic well-being of athletes across all levels. As a purpose-driven nonprofit, USA Triathlon relies on its governance volunteers to play a pivotal role in guiding strategic initiatives and ensuring the organization’s ongoing success.

This year, USA Triathlon invites members to consider serving as a General Director or Athlete Director on the Board of Directors, or as a member of the Athlete Advisory Council. These elected leaders will have the unique opportunity to help define the future of triathlon, contribute to athlete advocacy, and support the growth of multisport communities nationwide.

Positions Open for Nominations

The following positions are available for election, with terms beginning in January 2026:

• Two (2) General Directors – Two-year term
• Two (2) Athlete Directors – Two-year term
• Two (2) Athlete Advisory Council Members – Two-year term

Eligibility Requirements

To nominate or be nominated, individuals must be annual members of USA Triathlon.

• One-Day Members: Upgrade to an annual membership to qualify for nomination.

The nominations window is officially open as of Monday, June 9, 2025, and will close on July 9, 2025. For detailed requirements, submission templates, and additional information, visit the Elections page. All nominations should be submitted via email to election@usatriathlon.org.
