2 U.S. Triathletes Win Age Group World Championship Titles at 2025 IRONMAN World Championships in France

NICE, France — The world’s best professional and age group men triathletes raced at the 2025 IRONMAN World Championships on Sept. 14 in Nice, France, racing on a challenging, scenic course from the Mediterranean to the mountains.
Two U.S. triathletes won age group world championship titles, conquering the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run course.
Cory Mayfield (Pasadena, Calif.) won the men’s 30-34 age group world title, completing the course in a time of 9 hours, 1 minute, 52 seconds.
Andrew Hall (Salt Lake City, Utah) won the men’s 40-44 age group world title, finishing in 9:03:05.
The U.S. led all nations in participation, with over 500 registered athletes.
Norway swept the professional podium, as Casper Stornes won his first IRONMAN World Championship title in a time of 7:51:39. Fellow countrymen and past IRONMAN World Champions, Gustav Iden and Kristian Blummenfelt, came in second and third, respectively.
The 2025 women’s IRONMAN World Championship race is Oct. 11 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
