Application Period Open for Hosting 2024 USA Triathlon Youth and Junior Nationals

Triathletes compete in the 2023 USA Triathlon Nationals in Milwaukee.
USA Triathlon has opened the application period for the 2024 USA Triathlon Youth and Junior Nationals event. The race will be operated by the chosen Race Management group with support from USA Triathlon.
The management group should be organized, detail-oriented, advocates for the sport, and be able to execute a safe, exciting event, while also generating community interest and respectfully representing the USA Triathlon brand.
The three-day event will attract over 800 unique youth and junior athletes plus their families from across the United States. Athletes will range between the ages of 7 to 19. The event will consist of three types of races: non-draft, draft-legal and a mixed gender relay.
The non-drafting youth age group race will be conducted as a typical triathlon event following USA Triathlon non-drafting rules.
The draft-legal Youth and Junior events will be conducted in the Olympic format and are designed to train USA Triathlon’s Olympic hopefuls.
The mixed relay is a mixed gender relay that consists of four team members (two males and two females). It is conducted in the draft-legal format with each team member completing all three disciplines before tagging off to their teammate.
The event will also consist of Packet Pick-Up, Expo, Athlete Briefings, Awards Ceremonies, Swim and Bike Course Familiarizations, and more.
