2025 USA Triathlon Sprint and Paratriathlon National Championships in Milwaukee Canceled
by USA Triathlon
MILWAUKEE — USA Triathlon, in partnership with the city of Milwaukee and with local authorities, emergency services, and safety teams, this morning made the decision to cancel today’s 2025 USA Triathlon Sprint National Championships and Paratriathlon National Championships, scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 10.
Athlete safety is USA Triathlon’s highest priority. USA Triathlon’s events team worked throughout the morning hours with local authorities and our safety teams in an effort to still make today’s events in Milwaukee possible.
Unfortunately, due to the historic rainfall in Milwaukee, flooding and course damage throughout the course, limited emergency response teams to support the event, potentially unsafe water conditions, as well as impending weather for Sunday, it would not be possible to safely organize Sunday’s races for the Paratriathlon and Sprint Distance National Championships.
USA Triathlon will communicate further updates to athletes impacted by the event’s cancellation.
USA Triathlon sends its support to all those affected by the historic rain and flooding that has impacted the Milwaukee area.
