Adaptive Events
The USA Triathlon Paratriathlon Committee may designate events as 'Paratriathlon Friendly' and works to make all races accessible. All USA Triathlon Sanctioned Events can accommodate all USA Triathlon paratriathlon categories. Find a race here.
If you see a race you'd like to compete in, contact the event’s race director at least a month prior to race day and discuss any accommodations you may need during the race.
Race directors wanting their event added to this list should complete the Paratriathlon Friendly Race application and send to paratriathlon@usatriathlon.org. RDs with events already on the list must reapply every year.

Paratriathlon Nationals is headed to Milwaukee to be held in conjunction with USA Triathlon Sprint and Olympic-Distance National Championships!
Any athlete that wishes to compete in the National Championship division at Paratriathlon Nationals must be officially classified and placed in a USA Paratriathlon Category as outlined in USA Triathlon’s Competitive Rules. If an athlete does not classify or does not qualify via the time standards, they may race in the Adaptive Triathlon Division 1 (ATD1).
Once you have met the qualifying time for your sport class as outlined below, please email Auburn Bosworth at auburn.bosworth@usatriathlon.org with your race results, race distance, and race dates to be authorized to register for the 2026 Paratriathlon National Championships in the championship division.

The Paratriathlon Nationals Qualifier Series is the premiere national-level racing circuit for up-and-coming paratriathletes in the United States. The aim of the series is to provide increased domestic competitive opportunities for the nation’s emerging paratriathletes.

Athletes who wish to compete in the USA Paratriathlon National Qualifers Series must:
- Have a USA Triathlon National Classification or a World Triathlon Classification of C, R or P; and
- Be 16 years of age or older as of December 31, 2025
